Max I. Walker's Ultra Chic Boutique

See a Recap of the 2016 Ultra Chic Boutique

What: 9th Annual Ultra Chic Boutique; All dresses $30 — cash only

When: Saturday, January 30, 2016 — 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: Omaha Ballroom at Ramada Plaza Omaha Hotel & Convention Center on 72nd & Grover streets.

After seven successful years as the Ultra Chic Prom Boutique, we dropped the word Prom from the name. Why? Because we were seeing more and more dresses at every event: wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, evening gowns and cocktail dresses, just to name a few. So it only made sense to drop the Prom and widen the appeal.

Don’t worry; you can still get a fantastic prom dress for just $30 — but while you’re there, why not pick up an elegant evening gown or fun little cocktail number for yourself? Whatever you buy, all proceeds still go to benefit the Omaha Open Door Mission’s Lydia House.

Turning heads in a gorgeous dress — it’s a uniquely feminine sensation enjoyed by women everywhere. But for many women, the idea of spending hundreds of dollars or more on a dress — whether for prom or a party or a wedding — is a dream beyond reach.

That’s where the Ultra Chic Boutique comes in. Every year, Max I. Walker customers donate their unwanted prom, wedding, bridesmaid, cocktail and other formal dresses at locations all across the Metro, and then Max I. Walker’s employees generously clean, press and mend them. Once ready, the dresses are sold for just $30 (cash) at the Ultra Chic Boutique event in January, with the proceeds going to benefit the Omaha Open Door Mission’s Lydia House.

So... you get to feel extra-special in a beautiful dress for just $30, the Open Door Mission gets a donation, and you gain extra space in your closet. It’s a win-win-win!
