Preserve the Memories of the Best Day of Your Life

Your wedding dress is one of the most priceless things you own — not for its monetary value, but for the memories and meaning it holds. Max I. Walker offers MuseumStyle™ gown preservation, so your wedding dress stays as beautiful as it was on the day you took your vows.

When you entrust your wedding dress to Max I. Walker, we clean and press your gown, removing both the visible and invisible stains that cause fabric and trims to discolor and deteriorate over time. Then we carefully package your wedding dress in a custom-designed, triple-sealed bridal gown package. This package has a heavy, sealed plastic window that allows you to see your dress but protects it from air, sunlight, moisture and insects. Your gown will remain in pristine condition until you remove it from the container.

As an expert in the dry-cleaning business since 1917, Max I. Walker offers a special three-step process to keep your wedding dress stunning:

Step One: Our cleaning process removes the stains that deteriorate fabric, such as sugar-based stains that can caramelize, turning into brownish marks and streaks, and salt, a natural byproduct of skin contact, which damages fabric.

Step Two: The second step is careful cleaning, pressing, folding and shaping of your wedding dress. We use an acid-neutral tissue in folding to prevent permanent creases and yellowing of the fabric.

Step Three: We insert your dress into a special preservation container. Ordinary boxes and packing material can cause yellowing, marking and “burning” of the fabric, so our inner containers are made of a heat-shrunk, clear vinyl material. We package and seal your dress, removing oxygen inside the seal and replacing it with inert gasses that enhance the preservation process.

Don’t trust your most cherished garment to just anyone. Let Max I. Walker preserve this important heirloom.
