The Ultra Chic Prom Boutique Turns Five!

We’ve reach a milestone year with the Ultra Chic Prom Boutique – our annual charity event – and we couldn’t have done it without you! Every year, our loyal customers are increasingly supportive with your dress donations and by helping us spread the word about the one-day shopping event in February. With each year, the event has grown: more dresses, shoppers, vendors, and most importantly – a bigger donation to the Omaha Open Door Mission’s Lydia House.

Dress Donation

It’s time to clean out those closets and donate your gently used dresses for a good cause. Old prom dress? Bridesmaid’s dress you loathe? Dresses you’ll never wear — or fit into — again? If you have these or other formal attire hiding in the back of your closet, drop them off at your nearest Max I. Walker location. We’ll clean, press and prepare your gowns, transforming them into the dress of someone’s dreams for the Fourth Annual Ultra Chic Prom Boutique.

WHAT: 5th Annual Ultra Chic Prom Boutique

Ultra Chic — On a Budget

Max I. Walker sponsors the Ultra Chic Prom Boutique every year. We can’t do it without your dress donations, and you help the community in two ways when you donate your dresses: First, high-school girls who otherwise can’t afford a formal dress for prom can purchase dresses at the boutique event for around $25 . With hundreds of dresses to choose from, the boutique has a dress for every girl, whether it’s the dress of her dreams or one that she can alter to create a unique ensemble, so prom can be one of those priceless high-school memories that everyone deserves.

Second, all proceeds from the Ultra Chic Prom Boutique benefit Open Door Mission’s Lydia House, which provides safe shelter and emergency services for more than 300 women and families in need of immediate assistance. Unsold dresses are donated to Open Door Mission’s Timberlake Outreach Center and Women’s Career Workshop.

You have made the past four boutique events incredibly successful. To date, we have raised more than $28,000 for Lydia House.
