How To Remove Campfire & Smoke Smell From Clothes

remove campfire smoke smell from clothes max i walker dry cleaning and laundering blog

Even the strongest perfume can’t mask the smell of smoke but there are a few tips to removing the smell from your clothes.

After a summer bonfire or grill out, let your clothes get some fresh air before washing but simply placing the affected items outside. The fresh air will help the smoke particles dissipate.

Another trick is to hang the clothing in the bathroom and run hot water. Add in cup of vinegar and let the steam and vinegar dissolve the smoke odor.

You can also try soaking your clothing item in vinegar and water before washing. For delicate or dry clean only clothing, be sure to take those items to the professionals.
