It’s Time for a Rain(coat) Check!
November 22, 2016As you spend more time outside, it’s inevitable that you may find more dirt and stains on clothes. From yard work to barbecues, you may end up with more hard-to-treat stains like ketchup, grass, pollen and sweat that you have to deal with.
If you have a favorite piece of clothing, especially one that is made of a fabric that may need special care like silk or linen, there are some things you can do to help care for them.
Wear the right clothes for the job, even if it means you need to go in the house to change. In other words, when you get the urge to mow the lawn or do some planting, be sure to put on the right clothes (a T-shirt and old shorts?) and save your good clothes from the dirt and sweat of your summer chores.
Don’t spray suntan lotion or sun block on your body when wearing the item. Rather, apply the sunscreen before you put the item on, and allow it to totally dry, before donning your good clothes.
Be sure to clean your clothes when they need it. Remember to point out any stains to Max when you bring your clothing in and tell us what type of stain it is. This will help us to provide the appropriate cleaning.
